I decided to what the very first episode of the Waltons called The Homecoming thinking this was a no agenda type show plus I haven’t seen it since the 1980’s. Within 20 minutes or so, Maryellen was complaining about something and she said something like this: “the earth is a big round ball 8,000 miles in diameter….” Within a few minutes I shut off the movie after the next scene was all the kids stating what toys they wanted (Hypermaterialism) for christmas. I don’t think a single movie or show exists where a globe or materialistic agenda isn’t pushed.

yah i've watched all little house on the prairie seasons. enjoying the fantasy of a simpler way of life. but it also is full of "trust the gov't and doctors, etc." it's also amazing how I've never read a non-fictional book of that time period, yet I think I know what it was like then... because of TV.
