I went to Havelock NC and camped on the Neuse River near Cherry Point Marine base and the ferry crossing. On the beach of the river you can see New Bern NC and its buildings and bridges which are approximately 16 miles west. Now according to the globe model there should be over 160-180. (Don’t remember the exact amount) feet of drop and not a single building should be visible at that distance. I was viewing at 3 feet off the ground at waters edge with my binoculars. Temperature and all other atmospheric conditions were identical based on current weather forecasts. I lived in New Bern at the time about 6 years ago and the weather conditions are usually identical. During that time, I had just started to research flat earth theory. I encourage anyone in the area to try it out on a clear day, winter would be best due to lower humidity and the cooler temperatures.

This would be akin to Rowbotham's work. Seems pretty simple. Amazing how people refuse to believe such a simple fact.
Things changed for me when I went home after doing a 10 mile test, and crunched all the math for myself. The horizon is only 3 miles away for a 6 ft person, standing up.
3 miles. That's nothing.
