Hello, I love the podcast overall. Thank you for all you do George!
But I just wanted to provide some friendly feedback on the terms "Silver Bullet" vs "Smoking Gun"
I think often the term "Silver Bullet"is used when you mean "Smoking Gun"
(From wikipedia) "Smoking gun" is a reference to an object or fact that serves as conclusive evidence of a crime or similar act, just short of being caught in flagrante delicto.
Silver Bullet on the other hand is a a quick solution to a difficult problem. (per dictionary.com)
Just providing this feedback so listeners are not confused. Again I mean this gracefully.
Thank you for all you do!
Meh. "Smoking gun" has negative connotations, even from the Wikipedia definition. The definition you provided for silver bullet is exactly what George asks for. The "difficult problem" is a person's cognitive dissonance towards flat earth. The "quick solution" is a short, but very solid piece of information that would shatter the dissonance. Overloading with information wouldn't persuade them, usually. So you need to be able to quickly provide a solution to their difficult problem. Hence, "What are your five silver bullets"? ( George also clarifies this sometimes by saying,"If you were in an elevator with someone, what would you say?" That's a quick conversation.
