I am not ascribing to a ball earth theory. However, the simple mathematics explanation makes no sense to me, either. Math is just symbols. Those symbols prove nothing unless they are worked against actual reality.

I"m not clear on your answer. If the numbers are based on reality, than they work. Math is derived from nature, that's how we developed it in the first place, to describe what we see.

The site takes the supposed diameter of the earth, and completes a ratio with the height of mountains. The percentage of "bump" is extremely low, enough to call the earth "smooth".

However, even on a flat earth model, which I believe in, we have no idea of the thickness of the earth. We've dug 8 miles deep, and no further. I think we can safely assume the earth plane could easily be 1000s of miles thick. Tarturus is pretty deep! So the math will work there too. Yes, the earth is essentially flat. And smooth.

Consider an electron microscope. Zoom in far enough, and every smooth surface looks rough. Same with the earth.

Didn't they try to dig real deep in Russia, then somehow hit a stopping point, and scrapped the project? If this did in fact happen, then it makes me wonder if there is something like the firmament below, as well. Ok ok, I can't stand how often people say this in the conspiracy world, but "as above, so below."

When I first started researching flat earth, I thought the idea of a firmament was absolutely nonsensical. Nowadays, I think that it makes sense, but I see it as the edge of the universe. Likewise, below us, there would logically be an edge. In this way, there is nowhere beyond it.

Likewise, this would make space exploration an absolute farce!
