I'm not on about the size, more about the suns location. The camera was about 72 miles above Arizone, at 11 am, the camera was pointing south. On a spinning ball the sun should have been above the rocket, not above the so called south pole, if the image is correct (for a spinning ball Earth) But no the sun was above the tropic of 'Capricorn' aka south of Arizona.
It's size is actually kind of important. It's angler resolution is supposed to make it appear smaller as it goes further away from you due t
o respective. Except it doesn't get smaller. Here's another picture I took is in the same filter. That's on the right side of the other picture, but zoomed in this time.
The glare seen with a normal lens is very misleading about its true size.
