Question! I'm still in the research phase of FE so I have LOTS of questions haha
How do Biblical FE'ers explain the phases of the moon and the different colors of the moon? Last night I spent a couple hours looking at the moon through my telescope and it was such a brilliant white it almost seemed pearlescent. Tonight it is straight up orange! So beautiful BUT why?! I know the heliocentric model explains it away as different light wave lengths from the sun being reflected.
Thanks everyone!
That is a great question! I don't have a reason but it has been happenening since earliest recordings. The sun will also chage hues or tones, sometimes being a light yellow and sometimes a deep red.
As someone who has sort of found both God and the Geocentric/bibilical earth more recently That is a great question, but I would not hold much merit on whether this proves the shape of the earth. With that said I am going to see what I can dig up!
This is most likely something we will never have an answer to on this side of eternity. We can't get to the moon to study it closely. all we can do is observe it from a distance and make suppositions and hypotheses.
I"m really interested in a good answer to this, because I was talking with a friend, and this was his main question. My best understanding is a "charging" and "discharging" of the moon, but I haven't seen that model supported in a meaningful way yet.
Colours I think comes from chemtrails and atmosphere. If it's orange one night, it 's because of what's between us and the moon, not the moon itself.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word WAS God."
"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
"12Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me. And having turned, I saw seven golden lampstands, 13and among the lampstands was One like the Son of Man,f dressed in a long robe, with a golden sash around His chest. 14The hair of His head was white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes were like a blazing fire. 15 His feet were like polished bronze refined in a furnace, and His voice was like the roar of many waters. 16 He held in His right hand seven stars, and a sharp double-edged sword came from His mouth. His face was like the sun shining at its brightest."
"And to the angel of the church in Pergamum write: ‘The words of him who has the sharp two-edged sword." (Rev 2)
"Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He [a]had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in [b]fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword" - Rev 19.
Turbanhead, it is not with us or with the Bible that your dispute is. It's with Jesus Christ Himself. He IS the Word of God, and He promised that Heaven and Earth will pass away, but His Words will never pass away. He is also the Creator of this incredible world we live in, whatever it may be, however it may be.
That being in that picture you shared, that being and all its friends, if they can call each other friends, hate the Word of God with all they have. They tremble at His word. And trust me, they hate you too, because you are made in God's image.
As I can tell from what many others have written, we love the Bible. The words of God Himself are in it. His words have changed our lives. "He sent forth His word and healed us and rescued us from the pit and destruction." His Word is soothing to the soul, and strengthening to our spirit. So your curse against God's Word is not to us - it's to Him, the One Who inspired it.
So take it up with Jesus Himself. But in this company, I cannot allow you to curse a book most precious to me, that if my house was burning down and my loved ones were safe, would be the first thing I would save.
Also something I find very interesting is if you look at the stars and the planets and the moon in a telescope, like the one I have sitting on my deck right now, nothing fancy, and you zoom past the focus point of the object, every single one of them turns into a disc with a black hole in the center. Yes I know the scientific explanation for the way our eyes see light….BUT it also looks very similar to what a literal flashlight looks like.
Many flat earthers think that the moon is a flat, translucent disc. Also, they think it is giving off cold light. Furthermore, they believe that it is inside a huge dome called the firmament. Had anybody ever looked through a telescope at it? How do they explain the craters, and how those craters are always in the same spot? Also, why is it that only the side facing the sunrise is lit up? Look at this picture, zoom in on it, does that look like a flat, transluvent disc?
