Hey I am not sure but I made an assumption I have not heard before and was wondering if there was anyone who might be able to elborate. That said I can only assume that a shuttle capsule etc with enough shielding to pass through the "radiation" belt would also not be able to communicate outside the ship. Like when you loose cell service in a metal building, signals do not got in or out. Surely the amount of shielding needed to make it safe, would also cut off communication with the ship. Thanks in advance for any input!

I remember the video of Nixon communicating with the astroNOTS in real time with no delay from the moon, when I could not even speak to someone on the phone long distance from Oregon to Texas without the irritaing delays. Must have been high-tech lol
