I am sure this has probably been covered by several but I haven't seen it.
For those that believe the earth is in fact flat, I think I typically see that the sun and moon are "near" and not far off as globe earthers would say. And thaht teh sun sort of rotates around the firmament and gets nearer and farther away to account for "sunrise" and "sunset". The clouds are below where the sun and moon are located. Even if the sun and moon are near, the clouds, at least in every proposed drawing/rendering/map I've seen, still show the clouds lower than the sun. With this being the case, how can sunlight on the bottom of the clouds be accounted for?
There are plenty of images where, during sunset or sunrise, the underside of clouds reflecting sunlight. I can only see this being possible if the sun is setting or rising. At which point there is a moment in time where the sun you see rising or setting would be below the clouds in your immediate point of observation. But if the sun just moves circular, theres never a point where the sun would have the opportunity to shine light on the undeside of a cloud. And its not sunlighht reflecting from the surface of the earth back up to the clouds. That makes no sense either. I mean, maybe, maybe, if it was reflecting off of water. But I've seen the same thing over land. Like out in Kansas and Nebraska. Theres not a lot of water out there for reflection and I just cant imagine the light is reflecting off farmland in this manner.
And even where I live, near the Blue Ridge Parkway. We get some beautiful "sunsets" where the sun appears lower than the clouds and light is shining on the underside of the clouds.
I know there are several "things" that flat earthers can't explain. And likewise there are several things globers cannot explain. Maybe this is one of the ones that flat earthers cannot explain. And if so, this is a tough one to get past.
Maybe someone in here can explain this one to me. Always open to ideas and opinions.
This video covers what you're asking about (if you havn't already watched this one.)
